Lorna Bainbirdge

Lorna continues to work predominantly with middle management within organisations.  She provides a range of development activities to meet the needs of the business and individuals.  Where feasible her training and development is linked to a National Vocational Qualification.  In this capacity she has provided advisory and assessor support to a number of individuals and organisations.

For the past nine years Lorna has been an Assessor for the Investors in People Standard, undertaking a number of assessments with a wide range of industry sectors. From 2002 and 2004 Lorna was involved in the implementation of Investors in People within South Africa, undertaking assessments and running specified IIP UK training workshops.

Lorna remains an active Director of an SME in the UK.  She consults and holds Director positions of Limited Companies in Canada and South Africa. 

Previous work in the commercial world includes a number of years, with Marks and Spencer plc and De Vere hotel group.  The 13 years with Marks and Spencer plc included the role of Store Manager and then on to a role responsible for training and development for 15 stores.

With roles as Chair of the Women’s Business Link in 2002 and in 2001 Regional Group Chair of East Midland and Central of British Junior Chamber she has incorporated practical business knowledge with an attitude for personal and professional development.

Lorna is based out of the UK.
