Creating An Empowering Culture
Where did this come from?
This workshop is as a result of over ten years of research into how successful organisations empower their people to enable them to take ownership for their role and to be responsible.
People’s lack of willingness to take ownership is normally based on the manager’s inability to empower their people or their inability to let go. The research showed that there was a structure that gave empowerment the opportunity to work.
The insights gained will apply to:
- Leadership and Management
- Organisational effectiveness
- Effective people
Participants will gain an insight into how to develop a structure that encourages people to take ownership and responsibility. The session starts by looking at the structure that successful organisations use to ensure that empowerment works in their business. Participants will be able to evaluate how effective their organisation is and the steps that they need to take in creating an empowering structure.
How will the organisation benefit from this approach?
- Managers capable of being able to empower people in a way that they are capable of taking ownership and achieve results;
- A clearer understanding of how all areas of the organisation work together to achieve common outcomes;
- A framework that enables people to recognise how they can take ownership and how they impact on the purpose of the organisation.
What will the organisation be able to?
- Create an empowering structure that works for the organisation, teams and/or departments
- Ensure that measurements are beneficial to the people and the business
- Create systems and processes that people will own and use
- Develop an environment where people are capable of taking ownership for their roles and responsibilities
